    Hello everyone,

I finally got my hands on a BlackBerry Z10 a few days ago. After setting the phone up I wanted to do a Software Update to version! It seemed to install perfectly, no errors or anything but I still get prompted to update to exactly that version although it's already installed! Tried to reinstall it several times but no luck! I'd really appreciate your help!

    Thanks in advance!

Have you deleted any of the stock applications that came with the phone? Eg. Linkedin, Twitter, Foursquare, etc.

You cant delete stock apps.. or you'll be asked to do the same update over and over. Make a folder to put those stock app icons in that you dont use.

do the update.. then take what ever app icons you dont want to see and put in a folder. you'll have one folder with unwanted stock apps and not a bunch of icons you have to look at all the time.

Have you tried putting the stock apps in a folder to hide them instead of deleting them as newfie suggested? If so, and you're still getting the prompt to update after restarting the phone, it's probably worth backing up and trying to reload the OS software through BB Link.

The point is that I don't get the Apps back when I do the update. They remain deleted!

Drag one unwanted icon over another unwanted icon to make a folder.. put all other unwanted into that folder also.

Fixed it! I reseted the phone and updated again, in addition to the regular software update I had to do some application update which brought the deleted stock apps back! Restored from a backup afterwards and voila! Thanks a ton for your help guys!

    Hello anyone,
I have been trying to download Whatsapp on my Z10 but I was rejected as I had to do an OS upgrade. I just finished the upgrade, my phone prompted me to restart and I accepted. its been almost an hour now and my phone is still not displaying. I tried a hard reset, it just brings out the bb sign n boots to 100% and that's it. it just hangs there. what else can I do pls
