I feel like I've seen the answer to this, if so, I couldn't find it.

Is there any way to see the main drive (ie internal memory) of a BBOS or BB10 on a desktop - without Blackberry ID?

Or is there only one way to transfer files, which is by clicking USB Mass Storage Mode?

I believe you can if you enable SMB v1 file sharing support.

Thanks, similar to a Playbook then. I've got an old XP that maybe works, maybe I'll use that and not have it online.

That should be fine... just install the BlackBerry software, that will also install the drivers needed for Windows to recognize it.

The software itself likly won't work without BBID... but you do need the drivers.

BB10 I think you can select just the drivers, not sure about BBOS....

I'll downloads the drivers first and see what happens. Starting to feel like a PIA to have that old netbook sitting out but that's the way it is.
