Update: Everything is back to good, deleted cache, history, etc. No complaints, I prefer stock BlackBerry browser over any other. I have firefox installed and it works good too but BlackBerry browser UI is my preferred way to go. Thanks all for help and suggestions.

OP: For the past week and before doing the update today and after, bb browser sucks! Slooooooow, I jump over to firefox and zip, right to same page! What's the heck is going on!

The BlackBerry 10 browser hasn't been updated in forever, that's what's going on. It's to the point now where it's even starting to fall down the list of the beloved HTML5 Test that everyone likes to compare.

But I've never been unhappy with the browser, it's unusable for past week for me and I have a 20mbps wifi connection!

Clear your cache and history? Other than that, not really too much you can do in terms of 'speeding' the browser up.

That made it better, snappy again!

Is there a native browser alternative in BlackBerry World that might be snappier? Evolution, Browsie...?

I'm having the same issue with stock browser.
It's just downright awful. Hangs up on pages. Stutters and lags. Even after clearing cache cookies and history. Started happening just before latest update and got worse after update.

Started using Browsie browser. It's alright. Still prefer stock browser. I also have Zeus and secure browser. Will try those out.

The ad-blocking and reader mode on Browsie make it my default browser now.
Just use the stock browser for logging into banking sites and other sensitive sites.

It used to top the list, now even an Amazon browser is trouncing it. Not that it's the be all end all but it goes to show how little effort has actually been put back into the browser.

Yep.. they should work on updating the browser... in terms of speed and security. I still find it fine.. but faster is better.

A great Android option is Polarity browser. Similar to Chrome but less bloat -- it has ad blocking built in too.
