Does anyone know if weather notifications or temperature can be displayed on the BB10 lock screen? I would hate to unlock my phone every time I needed to just check the temperature outside.
I have Be Weather's weather app, and can see the outside temperature without having to unlock my BB.
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I do re-call seeing AccuWeather on BB10 (just like PB OS) already included in the OS to view your weather.
Yes, you are correct. However, the demo we saw was an app in the active frame.
The OP wants to know if the weather can be viewed from the Lockscreen.
I think you cannot see through the lockscreen for the weather. Yes, you can see it from the active frame. but not from the notification at your lockscreen.
Maybe some one will make an app for this like how BeWeather currently works for BB7 where you can set it as your wallpaper.
If you touch the lockscreen, you can see through to the Active Frame without unlocking...

My understanding is that fade/see through affect does not work if you have a password though, as everyone should!
Ok, well say the OP did Not have a password. The fade see through effect on the Lockscreen well it moves with a touch of your finger and the OP can check the weather just like that because remember you Don't have to always be on the homescreen.
Not sure about this one - but I would hope RIM has an API exposed to allow Devs to integrate with the Lock Screen (at the discretion of the end user).

I doubt we have seen the final version of the lock screen.
Insinuating that the weather app is one of your first 4 active frames or that you've opened it at all.

I agree, the final lockscreen will be shown to us on 01/30. I hope there are API that can be leveraged by App Devs so important information can be displayed on the lock screen, if the user wishes so.

Lord this is going to be a slow month.
Considering upcoming calendar events are visible on the lock screen and other OSes already have this capability, I expect to see this on the BB10 lock screen. I agree with playbookster regarding not having seen the entire lock screen. It will probably be one of the surprises Thor eluded to
I would like to have the live tiles on my lockscreen. i think that would be the best option.
So it would show the live tile homescreen, but also show that it is locked somehow (maybe by being darkened or something)
