Hi everyone. I am new in the BlackBerry community (bought a passport 2 weeks ago).
This week end i wanted to give a try at the 10.3.3 release, hoping i could downgrade if the os is too unstable.

The thing is i wanted to downgrade, but i can't... or maybe i don't know the trick to do this.

    Do you have an idea?

    Thank you for your time

That's why it's a DEVELOPER build and not a public build. It was NEVER meant for you to install unless you were willing to accept the bugs that came with it and implications of using a developer build.

Yikes ... I guess that is part of "testing". It is key that you read and understand the risks before you try out a beta/developer build. It is definitely not for everyone. The majority of folks (which includes myself) should wait and understand the feedback and issues from the technical experts here (or those who just like to take risks) on what they are experiencing.

Unfortunately, no one really knows when 10.3.3 will be released. The date has been revised and I know folks are hoping for some time in September now. Let's hope so.

In the meantime, hopefully you have a backup device you can use.

A (possibly silly) question, not really related to the thread. Would it be possible to extract the browser bar from the dev build and push it to 10.3.2? Or is it dependent on the 3.3 release? Thanks

The browser bar is essentially a UI. Most of the actual functionality is baked into the OS.

Thank you for your answers. But i am using my passport right now. It's usable for most of my daily tasks.
There's some apps (most of them actually...) that are missing, but there are replacement BlackBerry World and in the Amazon App store.

I guess a factory reset wouldn't work, huh? I have a new passport too and I'll waiting for the new update when it's official. Not holding my breath though. It's about 5 months late?

Nope. Just install my app pack. You'll be running 90% of a full OS.

I installed 10.3.3 on my passport about a week ago by mistake. I searched everywhere for solutions but there's nothing. Just need to wait for official.
Once you install app pack, you can use it as your daily driver. However there are a few things that won't work.

    - Whatsapp from BlackBerry world won't work - Use android version
    - Alarm clock doesn't work - Download a third party app
    - Assistant app doesn't work properly - If you type directly from Home screen it doesn't show the apps or settings in your phone.

These are what I noticed so far. And watermark... you will get used to it soon.

LOL, did the same thing after having running into problem of setting up my Passport. I was directed to a website to re-load the software. Didn't realise I was downloading the dev OS until too late. One good thing was I manage to complete the setup. Bad part, well, it's dev. OS, alarm clock doesn't work. And my problem with the trackpad feature of this keyboard still isn't solved with a soft reboot/ reloading OS.

    I used 2.16.254. Downloaded directly from whatsapp.com
You obviously need Cobalt's Google play services. I tried many other versions unpatched / patched using PS patcher, but this was the only one that worked. It will show an error messege when initializing. Just tap OK and it will work just fine except for sending pictures.
