Last year when I got my Q10 I'm excited about the Battery Saving Mode feature. I can tell the difference from the screen light when BSM turn on against turn off. It's more likely not so different to see it with recent OS10 OS updates. So wondering if it still works like the old way? Interesting question, isn't it?

I've actually been thinking since updating to 2789 that it's not been very effective at all. Maybe just my imagination, but I don't feel like it lasts any longer anymore than normal mode. It's recent though - I didn't notice it before this most recent update about a month ago.

Just a little different. I am using it as a data services toggle.

I've noticed it still doesn't turn off radio or location even if you tick the boxes but it's been like that as long as I can remember.

Battery saving mode still works as usual. It's efficiency is another story. There isn't much to gain from it. If your phone battery drain is healthy it actually makes zero difference to your battery life.
It's amusing watching people having battery saving mode turned on all the time.

Saving mode came with 10.3.1 OS and it can"t disable some futures on 10.3.2,it does"t know what to do with it,BB protection needs futures like data,location service to be "ON" all the time,may be some apps that came with 10.3.2 too,so from one side saving mode tries to turn them OFF but futures like BB protect does"t allow it.That is why we don"t see much difference.I think so.

I don't see any difference between BSM lowest screen light and normal screen light.
Because in "normal" I have always screen light set to fully low on my Z30 amoled display.
