It's like the phone was switched off, but it actually wasn't! I've slept and the battery power was maintained. Anyone have success stories they want to share?

UPDATE: Just found out why it was so good -- Data Services was off! If you disable that, there's minimal savings.

    It's a new feature in 10.3
If you are running one of the developers OS you can try it, but officially 10.3 is not yet released

It would be nice if there was a quick setting to turn it On.

Battery Saving in Bedside Mode is accessible from Clock Settings (run Clock, and swipe down from top bezel). And from the clock setting, you can access the Battery Savings Mode Settings.

    I don't think it's automatically On.

The battery saving mode is actually quite awful... Samsung (soon Android Lollipop too) has the best one. Don't even go getting all "oh I'm a fanboy etc" because I only use BlackBerry products where I can. It's just the truth that Samsung has the best one

I don't know what's wrong, but "Battery Saving" is not working on my Q10 with 10.3.1.1016 . There are no changes in battery life when the feature is switched on comparing with off-positon. If I use the device on 3G the battery discharges after 10-12 hours (5-7% per hour even it not used). On wi-fi battery life rises greatly up to 48 hours. The same issue was on 10.2.1.
Previously I used 10.3.0.xxx. Battery life on 3G was up to 3x better. I don't understand what's wrong.

I initially thought the same too (0% battery discharge) until I realised that calls could not come in. Settings were a little different from 10.2.1 where I came from. Anyway, I realised that I had to enable data in order for phone calls to come in during bedside mode but then the phone battery discharges the same as when not in battery saving mode.

I have advanced interation all set to on. In Beside Mode I set to turn on Battery Saving Mode which turn off advanced interations but I noticed when I lift the phone the screen turns on.

From what I've seen (the screen shots in this thread, because I don't have 10.3) it seems like it really has a greater effect when the device is not in use. It might seem not very useful at first, but if you think about it - while the device is not used it saves more juice for when you need it. It is understandable that when you are using your phone the battery saving mode isn't doing much.

An example I can give is with my Z10 battery. My first battery is 20 months old, I bought the second one about a month ago. The difference in low to medium usage between the old and the new one can be about 20 hours - I can go almost 36-40 hours with the new one. However with heavy usage like gaming and media streaming the difference between the two batteries drops down to 2 hours.

You can do that, take a look in the Clock's options. Then, when you are in bedtime mode, the phones goes on battery saving.
