I just need to know if complete wipe and re-installation of OS (on Z10 in this case) re-calibrates battery meter calculations (as they seem to be completely off now in case of my phone (shut off at 5%, charging till 87%, tried battery pulls, formatting etc. to no success at all). Battery health is 97% (though system claims it's 113%).

    Thanks a lot.

Newer batteries don't require calibration. Can I ask where your stats are coming from? App?

Bump! Has anyone experienced this. Doesnt matter what OS im using, battery health is at 26% and my phone shuts down at 30%. My z10 also takes 50min to charge. something clearly wrong! p.s using battery guru.

    Need to re-calibrate battery!

What OS are you on? I've read that 10.2 leaks don't work very well with battery guru app

Had this problem, I wiped and reloaded the OS with a restore of my data and it's been fine ever since.

Im running 10.2.0.1571 on STL100-1. I found the battery life much better with 10.1 OS. I just want to know why my battery is dying at 25-30%...

Anyone experiencing this issue, found this :

BlackBerry Z10 - Battery Issue - BlackBerry Support Community Forums

    Good day

"I seen this issue a lot I suggest this to other members this method works

Connect to your OEM wall outlet battery charger and while still connected and powered on, remove the battery a minute to reboot. After reboot leave to fully charge to 100%.
This will reset the false charge reading."

    Repeat 2 to 3 times.

EDIT : Reload your OS of choice

I had similar problems and then I found the solution here on the forums. When u load new OS, always charge your battery completely before doing it. If your phone shuts down on 30%. After it shuts down take out the battery, sim card and sd card. Leave it like that for more than an hour. Then put everything in place, and press the star button for 2 min. Phone will not wake up. Put the charger in the phone, but don't plug it in. Leave it like that for 10 min and then plug it in. Charge to full. It fixed my problems and now I type with 5 % battery. Hope this helps.

    Love my Z10
