Battery over heating
I have noticed that when ever i use my bbz10 for more then 10 min for chat or something else the back cover starts heating up so i installed battery app n noticed normally the temp is around 22c but once u start using it the temp is like 33c. black berry should take notice as this isnt good at all. Btw any one have any way around or i m the only one facing this problem.

Funny, I am experience the same on mine too. But it does get pretty warm.

How long have you had it? The majority here noticed it for the first week or so but seems to calm down and settle in after that. I think the exception to the rule is some games where it still get's pretty warm.

About a week ago...so i have to live with it then :) but seriously is there any official word for this issue ... will it resolve coz isn't good

33c is not overheating, that's warming up. 60c is overheating, since you wil get burned, 49c is hot, but for electronics point of few still nice. Old AMD computers work at 68c core temp.
My laptop is running at 58c and that's without playing a game, just typing here ;)

Battery over heating
It's probably not the batter itself causing the heat. It's probably just getting hotter as a result of the SoC heating up. It does sound like the CPU in these units can get mighty warm.

Yup my BlackBerry 10 gets super warm whenever I play games or whatever on it

Its fine for me, I keep it in its transform shell. I did also notice it for a few days, but it hasn't bothered me since. My old Android Sensation got rather warm too, as did the Desire before that :)

I used to be able to cook an egg on mine - but since the .85 update, she's as cool as a cucumber... providing I'm not playing any games.
-
pretty sure its the processor heat spreading over to the battery

Yea usually when playing games it gets hot. Hopefully, by 10.1 that will be addressed

hope for the best guys .. btw the temp i checked even reached 37 c .. hahahahh n @backfire101 ya sure your right :) but there is a huge differnce between a pc and a cell phone .. i guess 35 c on a cell phone is something to be noticed . and my guess 10.1 will have something for this issue let wait and see ..

What level is your brightness? I found that since my brightness is 100% my phone has started to heat up

it doesn't make any difference for me on which level my brightness is coz i have double check it with ever possibility there is and the result is same. And i don't think this is brightness issue its process heat sink issue which means when processor is even in idle state, it is producing heat. so Black berry should look into this issue.

Mine is perfect - nice and cool most of the time - but when playing something like NOVA 3, it just gets so hot (yes hot, not warm) that I get worried and shut the game down after only 15-30 mins of playing.
