    Why does the battery go from full charge to 99 to full charge again. Can it not stay at 100

    I have mine charging overnight and it sticks at 99%. This morning I took it off and within a quick CB check no more than a couple of minutes it was 95%.

    Had breakfast and started checking emails and it was down to 88%.

    Wifi on.
    2 email accounts sync to manual both to push.
    No active frames open except sometimes I keep Battery Guru open.
    Nfc off
    Blue tooth off
    Twitter
    FB

    Because you can't trickle charge a lithium ion battery. When charge reaches 100%, the phone stops charging altogether until the battery percentage drops.

    The "percent remaining" value is a "fiction" created by the OS, based on numerous bits of data including the voltage. A one percent variation is basically meaningless, so I would never be concerned about a 100-99-100 pattern. The OS is simply attempting to integrate those various pieces of data, which themselves each have some measurement error and uncertainty. It can't simply measure the battery voltage and say "oh, it's full, i'll show 100% now".

    In short: ignore this.
