Baseband separation?
Recently, while going through some articles, I came across this vulnerability in some android phone: https://www.fsf.org/blogs/community/...alaxy-backdoor . Of course, this is just one of many similar exploits.
This made me wonder, does anyone here know if BB10 has true baseband isolation? Considering that the firmware is almost always proprietary, I think that this should be a bare minimum of a requirement for a 'secure' device. Thoughts?

Guess not. I wonder what facets of the BB10 operating system were all the "BlackBerry is so secure" guys talking about.

BlackBerry is closed shop, proprietary and also uses 3rd party components in manufacturing. No way to view the code to see if it's as safe as it's claimed, and the BBP they didn't manufacture. Nor the SIM, which as we've seen, agencies have hacked millions of before they were despatched.

Exactly, I trust my rooted note 3 more than my passport for that very reason.
