    Is it possible to extract or back up bar files from a Z10 (other than with Link)? The reason I ask is because some apps are no longer in BB World and I don't want to lose them if I don't have to.

    No, not possible.

    Load the backup your MIA apps are to the device, download the ones from BB World, create a new backup. That's what I'd do.
