    Does anyone know what fresh-hell this is and why it runs upon boot up of my BlackBerry?

    Just a guess, but it could be for an auto backup - i.e. a calendar that tells app when to sync storage like telling BOX when to sync pics and vids or, on Verizon (which I see you're not on, but as example) when to sync the VZW Cloud contact backup.
    Do you have and Cloud sync/backup apps installed?

    No I don't, only 3 ports I have left are Skype, Overdrive (ereader), and Blackjack King, and I'm seriously considering removing all of them but Skype

    Can't figure out what Android app is spawning this process.

    If you have Overdrive but not Skype or the others I mentioned, I'm puzzled...

    I just uninstalled all but Skype, Blackjack King, and the Task manager itself, and this bloody stupid calendar thing is still here.

    Anyone else have any insight? Might this be a harmless, mandatory background process?

    I've wondered the same thing -- have Task Manager installed but none of the other apps you mentioned (other than Skype, which I just installed; was seeng the calendar app thing before I did, however).
