Since the latest Leaked OS was causing me too many issues with WiFi, I decided to downgrade. So I threw my device on USB to do the Autoloader install, and it asked for a Password (had it on to install SNAP)

My question is, does it do this every time, so if someone stole my Z30 and went to CB for the leak, there's no way for them to get a clean wiped device or access to the current one?

So another questions is, does android have security right from the OS/ROM install too?

I think the password is only to access the storage of your phone on your PC. You can load any autoloader you want. Correct me of i'm wrong.

Edit: or did it asks for the password inside the autoloader popup?

When I start the autoloader, it asked for the password before it will go any further.

An autoloader will always ask for a password, but it's easier to steal it and get it fresh by just failing to input the password 10 times on the device. Phone is wiped, password included.
