And yes, I did a cfp wipe before installation, although I did do a full restore(If I could figure out how to just backup the android data, I wouldn't do a restore. Game data I don't want to loose.).

Other then that, no issues so far that I can tell.

I think (and probably I'm wrong here) that you can do a backup of just your android apps and data using any app made for that purposse from the google play store that doesn't require root might be worth a try

My tentative conclusion is that Passport owners using 1154 with 1949 apps should wait until a nondestructive update is available. Then, if the ND update doesn't solve the flickering and camera focus issues, but an autoload with no restore turns out to be the only answer, then you have to decide how important these problems are to you.

I'm thinking along the same lines. Being able to restore successfully or do a non-destructive update is very important to me, due to the large number (500+) of Word Substitution entries I have. Unfortunately, third-party backup apps can't (yet) backup these, so I'm stuck with Link for this.

At the moment, on 1154/1949, things are pretty smooth. I get some flickering, but only very occasionally. Everything else is pretty good. Notification volume is fine. It'd be annoying to load this update, lose my Word Subs due to a failed restore, and then end up with low volume notifications.

Add an static ip for your passport in the router instead, it's easier and works better

i did but its not quite working. its a compatibility issue with my router, it works great with most routers though. no biggie since i can handle it easily.

Update: No, you cannot, other than "Run when minimized" which has been able to be shut off for quite some time.

Any new android apps installed or updated will lose the feature.

Flickering is not resolved. Lots of it still happening. Did a fresh autoload, no restoring (I never restore), but no help. No other observations so far.

Judging by the above posts, has BlackBerry done anything to improve this OS since the 1154?

Alls well so far after 2 hours of use.

Added facebook, twitter, Evernote and 3 outlook accounts.
Massive BBM contact list and member of multiple groups.
Not running any android apps other than the mega port from BlackBerry world.

No flicker and one swipe to unlock is back.

Ive loaded this OS and still finding far distanced subjects in low ish light hard to focus on using the passport camera.

I have my Z10 and Q10 for comparison right next to me so i know that theres a problem.

How is the autofocus for you guys?

As I wrote above. But it has improvement in speed and responsible. And it fix Device Monitor bug (not collect statistic after reboot until manual start it). And maybe this version have a better battery perfomance (need wait few days for result).
So, I'm giving it to try. However it is bad, that after 2 months and a big version number jump we still have annoying bugs and such small improvements...

Autofocus sucks. It feels a lot faster, but didn't set correct setting in middle and low light ambient conditions.
