Need help with the default map program. When I use navigation it will dim after 30 second which isn't a great thing to happen as you are driving. Anyway to turn this function off before I crash trying to keep navigation screen on?

Strange I drove for 3 hours and it.never dimmed is your phone plugged in? Mine was, maybe that's why?

That might be the problem. I didn't plug mine in since the location of the clamps for the car adapter is right over the charging port

I can confirm that none of my navigation apps keep the screen alive unless you are plugged in. Tested with BlackBerry Maps, Waze, and side loaded GMaps.

Yeah, if your screen is turning off that's a settings thing, if your talking about screen dimming that's baked in...

    Ok, by default then.

BTW, love my Waze, but counting down the days till Google shuts it down on BlackBerry devices. :-(

hmm strange issue. I've used the default BlackBerry Maps for navigation & never had it dim the screen unless the app was minimized or running in the background.

As for WAZE. I don't think we can complain about issues with a sideloaded app.

You don't need too. There is an official port on BlackBerry World.

Could be. I just went and checked on BlackBerry World with my Z10 and it pops right up on search. It's one of the first apps I downloaded when I got my phone months ago.

I think the problem with Waze on the Q10 could be the screen aspect ratio. Maybe the Waze folks don't feel it's practical on the square format. I was going to suggest getting the Z10 bar file from someone and sideload it, but if the developers didn't code it for a square screen it may not work.
