Just last week I was using Blackberry Assistant to read and reply to messages via Bluetooth while driving. I tried it again last night and the message came up on the screen normally, but nothing was read to me. There was no voice prompt regarding my options either. I turned Full Assistance off and then on again hoping that would help, but still nothing. I even rebooted to no avail. Has anyone else seen this? I am running the AT&T release (10.3.2.858). This renders the Assistant pretty much useless for driving.

Just in case some of you are unaware, here are some of the commands I find most useful when driving:
Read last text message.
Read Last BBM
Read Last message

Just to double check:

• Settings/BlackBerry Assistant
• Scroll down to Voice Response drop down, check to see if it is On. (Options are On, Off, With Bluetooth Device Only)

I did that as well, but forgot to mention it. I changed it to off and then turned it back on again with no change.

It seems you got the "localization" issue. I can't seem to remember if the cure is to change the language in Settings > BlackBerry Assistant to EnglishUS, reboot and then back to EnglishUK (or the other way around), OR/ALSO in Settings > Language and Input.

I've give that a try and see what happens. I might just leave it on English UK since I love the accent.

I switched from English US to English UK and rebooted. She's speaking to me again and in a sexy British accent.
