I see myself doing atleast 2 to 3battery pulls a day.... mostly cause an active frame gets freeze. android apps don't want to load. but mostly cause of the antenna. since I don't have reception where I work and im on wifi and im off reception for a long period of time.. when I go outside I don't get no signal it just stays on the red X so I have to reboot. lately I been turning off the mobile data, just leave wifi on that has helped..
When you do go outside and still have the red X try and make a call. As soon as you intiate a call the mobile network will try and reconnect eliminating the need to yank the battery.

I did on my Z10. Sometimes it would freeze up when the screen is off and pressing the lockscreen button wouldn't wake it up. Other times I'd unlock the screen and I couldn't insert my password, the insert password bar would never show up.

Thought QNX was meant to be real time without being able to freeze and lock up
Next time you're on the lockscreen and it won't wake up when you press the unlock button. Try unlocking it then sliding up like exiting an app (even if the screen stays black). Sometimes my camera app opens by itself and my phone won't wake up. Its weird but try it and see if that works. I've talked to other people that experience the same thing.

I have a Q10 on 10.2.0.1443 and I pull several times a week. My phone usually locks up when I'm on a call and then start to play a game. To hang up I'll have to pull the battery.
Something is very wrong that makes no sense. Since you are running a leaked OS you may be having some weird compatability problems with your apps and non-official OS version. Either way simply holding the power button for a few seconds doesn't work?

I pull my Q10 battery daily, but that's only to swap the battery at 10pm...

Short of that, I've had to do it once when BBM locked up the whole system.

This. I've had the screen go wonky twice, didn't need to do anything drastic. Just tapped the lock button a couple times, swiped up, viola.

The battery in my Z10 has come out a few times only to show its dimensions, never for a system glitch. Volume rocker reboot is the way to go for those.

And there is more to it than QNX.

And my previous android was worse.

My Q10 gets slow/acting weird about as often as my 9650, but no battery pull, just turning it off and restarting has cleared all problems. Even though I like BB10OS and my Q10, it has been no more stable than my old Legacy BBOS devices.

i dont understand why people pull the battery. If you really must reboot just hold the button down till it reboots.. its not that hard.

Note that holding down both the up and down volume keys for 10 seconds SHOULD perform the equivalent of a battery pull...
