Anyone knows the price for bb10. It is very important i believe because i was discussing and boasting about the soon to come blackberry 10 and they asked for the price because they seemed interested in buying it. If u heard or know any information about the price of the device please leave a reply

My guess is, if you are in US or Canada, you'd be able to get it for $149 to $199 on contract. Off-contract, probably $599.

I think so... RIM has said that it is a premium product which will be priced at the premium level. It will be more expensive than when 9900 was launched

Really? Are the still just targeting the fleeing enterprise market? Consumers will have a tough time justifying the value proposition of a BlackBerry (it's not much better than whatever else is out there, and it's unproven) if they're priced high.

Sources say RIM is doing their best to keep it at the 9900 level to focus on the enterprises that were investing at that level.

Not for the L. RIM wants the consumer back for that. And with that, they best not price it higher than anything else out there (certainly not 9900 levels) or they are toast.

The N series may be a different story. But you still don't want to price youself out of the market. They did that already.

I will be one happy camper should that happen. Yet, the latest interview done with Hastings Singh (RIM Managing Director - South Asia) in Bangkok revealed that RIM is targeting iPhone 5 and SGS III market segment.

I remembered 9900 was launched at around $599 in my country last year while SGS III was at around $749 (unlocked version). I think BB 10 will be somewhere within that range. Let's hope that RIM won't repeat its pricing mistake in the case of PlayBook.

Same here. But for RIM's sake, I hope they don't price themselves out of the market. So many people have iPhone and Android now days that for a new customer iPhone/Android seems like a safe-bet. Lots of social proof. So, if RIM was equally priced as an iPhone 5 or SG 3, it'd lose out in terms of social-proof and the customer might end up picking Android or iPhone. But if BB was just a bit cheaper, the customer might be more inclined to try this (yet unproven) BB device.

My guess is that the it'd sell for $599 off-contract/unlocked. Probably $149 to $200 on-contract.
