Anyone know the official or proposed release date for the OS .1055 version?

Thinking about switching to android cause it has apps that I need BUT I love my z10 so if I can load the official version of the OS .1055 soon and get the apps then I'll stay with blackberry. Plus I'm trying to convince my wife and sisters to buy blackberries so it would help to convince them if I can tell them by a certain date they will have the apps they want on a BB10 device.

Leaks is also not an option for me.

1055 is the first leak from 10.2.1, right? Doubt this build will be the one eventually released. It also depends on what country you live in.

I heard a rumoured date of January 4, 2014. But if you are in the US, you probably need to add a few years.

I don't think anyone really knows, but I'm hoping this Jan. 4th date is a good one. Being on a company BES and a few other issues, I can't go with a leak either.

Seems to me that leaks are not without their challenges. Being on Rogers Canada I'm hoping we're in the first go around for an official release. Half my kingdom for a functional call blocker.

I'd love to load the leak but the IT people in the law firm i work at won't let us load them...so for those of us who work at large firms sometimes leaks are not an option..

Hi Bubbbab - If you're on Rogers then you can use "Rogers One Number" which is a super way of working both with your mobile and with your PC: You can set it up on both to block calls by number or time of day, or "just for now" etc. Calls that come in on your mobile can be transferred to your PC and vice versa - all in real time.

I've been using it for about a year. Works really well.

PS: I am using it to block Rogers telemarketers. That's how good it is

1055 will never be official via carriers..
But it is official.. that is, the official developer os (1057 before being stripped down.. 1055 is even labeled as being a beta.)

I've seen One Number advertised before but no always thought it had to be in conjunction with a home phone system. 5 years ago we dumped home phone service all together in favour of 4 cell phones fir us and the kids. So can I call block on one number from mobile? This could be a great solution if it can be separate for each cell phone. We have 3 Z10's and an iPhone.
