you want to talk about totally changing my world! I liked my phone the way it was and now everything seems different! Called verizon and they don't have much information on the update and they say blackberry charges to support and help. Any thoughts?

Lost ALL my VM during the update, including a VM that I received immediately after the update. From the phone menu I use to have three buttons, ALL, MISSED and Voicemail. Now no VOICEMAIL button. I pay VZW $2.99/month for Visual VoiceMail and now I do not know where that went either.

And why can I still NOT attach files to YIM? My prior Storm I and Storm II YIM allowed you to attach files.

You're comparing your current phone to a Storm? That's low. You need to apologize, especially now that your voicemail is back.

Is anyone experiencing high battery consumption that seems to be driven by high CPU processing while idle?

Higher than normal battery usage and CPU usage is normal after an update, more so after using an autoloader. It is to be expected as your phone is re-indexing everything. After 2-3 days, everything should be back to normal. Give your phone some time. It may be sluggish and some functions may not work as smooth as it was before the update. Perform a few hard resets if you need to but nothing more.

Is there a way with the new OS to have a dark background and white letters for IM and email programs?

Both my BBM and my regular text messages have black background and white letters when composing the messages. Same as what it was before. In the Hub, tap the 3 dots in the lower right corner. Choose Settings, then Text Messages. Turn on Dark Background. That should give you what you want.

Give it time. It should all come back eventually.

No dark background for email or for the Hub.
