God that new one is ugly.
Doesn't give you any information at a glance, and with everything being bold and the same size IT'S LIKE READING ALL CAPS.
And the only reason I needed to stay with 10.2.1.

The icons on 10.3.x are actually lower quality and more cartoonish compared to 10.2.x

It doesn't look this way on a Z10's smaller higher resolution screen though. Icon text on Z10 is very tiny.
Because of the flat UI, if you like silly boxes around your icons, stick with 10.2. Besides which email triage is a killer feature on 10.3.

I see no killer features in 10.3.1.x. It kills my camera and keyboard performance. 10.3.0.1418 has broken keyboard on Z10, unusable. I am sticking to 10.2, thanks.

My biggest draw to 10.3.1 was a functional OneNote app. Now that .1949 is here, there are no advantages of 10.2.1 anymore.

Nope, since upgrading to .1949 I can't go back to older builds; it's just that good. The only drawback is losing out on tMo WiFi calling but the better cellular radios make up for that. Can't wait for February!

There is text shadow. At this point I'm not sure who reads the icon names anymore.
The UI isn't necessarily flat. It's very clean and gets rid of pointless details in tiny icons while keeping others. If anyone sticks with 10.2 for that you really are missing out on a ton of enhancements and features. Not to mention the updated android runtime. Apps launch ridiculously fast and are very smooth
The same people that need accessibility features. My mother is currently using a Z10 and she had to up the system font size by a few notches.

    I'm currently on
Z10STL100-3/10.2.1.2228 from 10.3.1 and will like to give 10.2.2.1609 a try as well. My question is what STL Z10 do you currently have?

In what way do you think it's better? For me, the lack of the growing numbers kills it.

I also rather dislike (er.. scratch that, I hate) the oversized action button. There's no reason for it to stick up above the icon row and cover up whatever you're looking at.

BlackBerry also delivered us a big fail with the blue bar that slides up and down in the latest Facebook app as you scroll up and down the page. I can't stand icons and buttons that cover up content. I consider it to be messy and sloppy. It's like the Facebook chat heads on Android or iOS. I hate things popping up and getting in the way of other things. It's such a sloppy, obnoxious, cluttered UI paradigm and I can't wait until this fad is done with.

I loaded the latest 10.3.1 on Saturday. The draw of a working Blend was too much to resist. This time though I didn't reload my settings from a backup - just manually entered everything.

I do miss the growing numbers in the calendar, but the email triage is awesome, remember has been improved, and Blend works very nicely. All in all, I can give up the growing numbers for the functionality gained.

The amount of texting or BBM'ing I do doesn't warrant upgrading for Blend support. I'm happy doing that on the phone. The calendar is something I use often though so I would very much miss not just the growing numbers but the bars that show when in the day an appointment is.

I reverted back to 10.2 from a 10.3.1 leak. There were still a few too many bugs for me.

I agree with you about the icons and I also missed being able to tap anywhere to take a pic.

However, I really liked the new functionality in the hub and I liked the new UI. I'm looking forward to trying out blend too. I've missed the 10.3.1 ever since I removed it, so I'll definitely be jumping back in when it officially launches.

How do you revert back to official 10.2.1 from a leak? I'm kinda stuck.

I'm sure an Autoloader for an OS - if available, would work. I think I downgraded - once.

I downgraded after a leak. I found an auto loader. It was a bit of a mare because I couldn't remember which version of 10.2 that I was on before. I got it wrong a couple of times and bricked the phone. But I got it sorted in the end. There is enough info out there to help you out, its just a time consuming PITA.

If you open BlackBerry Link you should be able to revert to factory settings (I can't remember what it's called at the moment - but it will be in BlackBerry Link (restore? ) and then you just update to the latest official OS. It takes a little while and it's a bit of a pain, but if you loaded a bad leak it's good to know you can just go back.

There are a couple of new things. My favorite is how a file and trash icon pop out as soon as you back out of a message. However there is also a quick setting button - it can be set to 2 actions so for example file and trash - and you can just go along your list of emails and hit whichever you want to do.

Yep. Fair enough. Everyone uses their phone differently.

I use the pull down in the Hub to keep on track for what's going today and tomorrow far more than I use the actual calendar. I like though that I can see my calendar day in Blend and can access my full calendar if I need to.
