Ah sorry I didn't realise you were using Z10. Yes indeed I'm using Z30 so my results are not a correct comparison.

So you are actually getting worse battery life on 10.3.1 than 10.2.1? If so that's interesting given that one of the 1st things I noticed was improved efficiency and hence battery life on my 30. You would think this improvement would be reflected (relatively) on any BB10 device regardless of the different battery Sizes they have.

    10.3.1.1154 / STA100-2
I think they are continuing to optimize for the newer radios that are in the Classic (which means the Z30, as well) and the Passport. Z10 is really and after thought at this point, I believe.

I'm not bitter about that, they have to make their current devices work really well, I get that. I'm still holding out for the next great all touch device. Hopefully that will be just as awesome as the Passport reviews I'm seeing.

    In my case - yes:
    (significant difference with different builds)

10.2.2.1609 - best battery life, consistent
10.3.0.1418 - very good, but other issues (keyboard lag, camera)
10.3.1.1154 - good, but other issues (keyboard flick, camera)
10.2.1.3062 - good to acceptable, but inconsistent

    Signal quality:
(small difference with different builds, probably under 10%)

    10.2.2.1609 and 10.3.0.1418 - best
    All 10.2.1.x and 10.3.1.x - good

I definitely understand regarding the icons, but honestly, my Q10 felt clustered anyway due to lack of screen size when I first updated coming from a Z10. That didn't last long. Just a suggestion, try the latest OS on 10.3.1.XXXX......non destructive update or the latest is 10.3.1.1949. 10.2 was really laggy and battery life was bad on my Z10 and my Q10. Again.....just a suggestion.

    Really....CTFD! Sent from my Z30 on .1949 w/ Tap-a-Talk. (*_~)

Gotta stick with 10.2.1 for now. 10.2.1.19xx was stable (and the updates helped). However, this most recent 10.3.1.19xx looks like it's close to being the BlackBerry OS version that going to be rolled out. With this one I'm really tempted to help with the Beta Testing. You know BlackBerry pays close attention to CB forums

I still think I'm going to wait.

I was going to jump back to 10.2.1 but this latest 1949 leak/hybrid seems much better. I am pretty sure that I will not revert now. My battery life has improved by about 2 hours per charge so far (still too early to make final decision) and everything definitely seems to be more fluid and less stuttery. It reminds me of the fluidity of 10.2.1.

An example of standard 1800mAh battery life on Z10 with 10.2.2.1609.

Anyone else thinking of sticking with 10.2.1?-img_20150101_215419.png

Usage was a mixed bag of showing/taking pictures, some CB, some Browser, about 50 messages/emails, few short phone calls... New Year party and the day after, >24h and some charge left.

What's the difference between the 10.2.x and 10.3.x calendar on the Q10? Some posters here don't like the difference. I ask because the calendar on my Q10 has become a sort of secretary for me.

I think you can run flash on 10.3 if you install an android browser like Dolphin or something.

I have flash switched off anyway and never even notice.

Didn't like it at first but 10.3 UK is a big step forward, once used to it there are some really nice additions. 10.3.1 will be a nice update also with a lot of key features, well rounded OS!

Does blackberry have a beta testing program? The people installing leaks that post on here should be prime candidates!

I am sticking with 10.2 until BlackBerry figures out how to correct the browser identification. It's not a big deal to me since I only come a cross few websites that won't recognize my browser and therefore, won't turn on HTML5. When that happens I use Evolution browser with iPhone as the browser identity and that works just fine. However, I don't think I should go through that hassle . Also giving the fact that 10.3 or 10.3.1 are not official OSs on most devices I will wait until they clean up the OS of most bugs and hopefully that would include the browser.

They do, and must of us are. LOL

But BlackBerry doesn't like to let their OS versions loose until they're fully baked. We all would love to officially beta these builds, but BlackBerry draws the line after apps.

God that new one is ugly.
Doesn't give you any information at a glance, and with everything being bold and the same size IT'S LIKE READING ALL CAPS.

Wow, that new calender IS ugly! The promise of blend has me tempted though. Every time I am at my mac and my BlackBerry gets an email notification I have to wait about two full minutes before osX mail picks it up. It's so frustrating!

    It's standard on 10.3.1

Also something that bothered me on 10.2.1 has been fixed. The icon text is ever so slightly larger and crisper/sharper. It looked too small and garbled on 10.2.1 so this was very pleasing for me personally!

The icons on 10.3.x are actually lower quality and more cartoonish compared to 10.2.x

It doesn't look this way on a Z10's smaller higher resolution screen though. Icon text on Z10 is very tiny.
