    Assuming that tomorrow is the actual rollout of 10.3.1, how would I install it on a BlackBerry Passport that I purchased on Amazon, and stuck a T-Mobile sim into? Through BlackBerry Link? I've always purchased my phones through an official carrier, so I've never run into this before.

    Or, temporarily pop in another carrier's SiM card who has the new update and do an update.... then pop your SiM card back in once it's complete.
