    Before one tries to "open" the runtime after download and installation, you should reboot your phone. Then, if you go back to Blackberry World and you again find the download page the green download button in the top right-hand corner will have changed to read, "Open". Do not push "open" because it will do nothing. The screen should show, "Installed Version 10.3.2.371". If you have that, you are good to go. If you have a computer with Sachesi onboard, you can also connect your phone to your computer, run Sachesi and verify that the sysandroid file shows the same version number, "10.3.2.371".
    Again, if you have that you are done.

    Hi,

    As was discussed on http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...rry10-1061868/, it seemed to "disappear" when you searched for it, so you're not alone at not "seeing" it.

    Try typing the full URL;

    After download, when I try to open it from BBW, it showing msg initializing, please wait. Is it normal?

    You do not need to open it and yes, if you try to open it, it will show "initializing" and then do nothing. The runtime runs in the background with android apps. If the screen shows, " installed version 10.3.2.371", you are done. Also, if you go to your list of installed apps in Blackberry World, it will show up as Blackberry Runtime for... in the list. Tap on that and it will again take you to the screen that should show, "installed Version 10.3.2.371". I hope all of this is helpful.

    That is Blackberry for you, doing what they are best at. Create wonderful stuff on BB10, make awesome devices and than guard them like a secret. Zero advertisement, no beating to death of any productivity feature.

    Why should updated runtime be an exception !!!

    So is it safe to update my OS from 2836 to the latest version, then use the fix? Will I have any issues?
    There is no issue I am currently having with my BlackBerry Passport so there isn't a need to update, but I like things updated.. should I wait though for a new official update?

    If it ain't broke.....

    This is really a maintenance release to fix the runtime from OS 10.3.2.2876.

    At this point I think I'd wait on installing any new updates, let others try them and see if there are any issues. Just don't think BlackBerry has the QC or testing abilities they once did for BB10......

    For those who can't find the runtime through BBW, try this link in the BB browser:

    Got the update at 17:00, it works, I immediately eliminated two Android apps I had installed months ago through Amazon appstore and they went away without problems. For now, I won't install other Android apps, as I keep another Android device. My battery lasted till 23:00 from 8:00AM, hoping to have it lasting for the day from tomorrow on.

    If you have installed the update through BlackBerry World, the update nag should be gone assuming you installed 10.3.2.2876 prior. The installed update put files that are newer than the runtime for .2813 and .2876 on you phone.

    Hi,

    Do the OTA update too; don't worry, it won't overwrite the new runtime... you should see it download just 56kb, rather than the 85MB it originally says.

    Once you are fully up to date, the nags will go.
