The bug where you can't hit the play button on games is still there (for example Wipeout)

Most likely because u did not use the debug token method to install the instagram on the 810 runtime,
with this runtime u need the debug token

Yeah, after your reply I realized I was testing out Sachesi's Backup and restore. Guess that could have deleted the fb account.

    Android Runtime from 10.2.0.1157-petermansad.jpg

You can have only one instance of sys.android installed on a phone at one time. Either pick the 810, 1047 or 1157 runtimes; you can't have more than one. Unless you have one phone with 1157 and one with 810.

Did you need a debug token to run Tiny Thief?

Am I reading this thread and the other threads correctly that with the 810 runtime /no/ debug token is required to run /any Android app, and that with 1047 and 1157 Android files the debug token /is/ required for some of the Android apps?

If so, what is the reason not to just use 810 runtime, period? What is the advantage of either the 1047 or 1157 runtime over the 810 runtime?

810 runtime is far from complete
While the 1047 and 1157 runtimes aren't complete either, it is more so than the 810 one
More apps can run on the 1157 than the 810 or 1047, like previously demonstrated on this thread

true most... MOST dont need a debug on 810. but the newer ones tend to run a bit smoother and will even run some that the previous will not. If what you got is running fine and you dont want to mess with the debug token, stay at the 810. If you have run into something you want and or need that will not run on 810, give this a shot. from what I am seeing this runtime has a few other bugs worked out....
now, to find a way to unlock a runtime.... hmmmm

Not possible to unlock a runtime
Each runtime is considered a system file that has to be signed by RIM itself in order to be loaded

It's a newer version of the runtime?
The bar has nothing to do with a newer runtime
Get it in your head that this bar is NOT going away
All newer runtimes here on out will have it

It's a version bump from 10.2.0.74 to 10.2.0.76. Bug fixes and performance improvements over 1047, probably.

And stop asking about the bar. It's there, deal with it.

I dont understand why BBry just doesnt put in the full working android runtime in a separate section of the os. A Launcher for droid apps in apk format. I do enjoy the hunting and seeking for working apps but really they need to just give it up and go full blown into android. Have bb10 separate from android. Like a pc with dual boot.

I HIGHLY disagree with the notion that the bottom bar is here to stay, I think it will end up as defaulted to being on, but able to be toggled.

the q10's screen is about 5.5x5.5cm, the bar is 1cm, and then some (I really have no idea how many, I only have 1 app side loaded) android apps have their own bottom bar of another 1cm, so essentially you're losing 36% of the screen...

The option to have it or not was accessible via swipe, so it can't be that hard to have that "feature" again.

Default should be to have the bar on, but the option should be there because of Q10 users, which i'm assuming blackberry still cares about.

I did use both methods, the debug token and Bar file, and neither worked even after I restarted my device. Anyway, will try again tomorrow.

When you update the runtime, do you have to re-side load your apps? New debug token? Or is it install and go, just with the latest?

Yup still can't press continue or play on certain games.

Sucks because it was fine on the 2.3.3 runtime
