Has anyone experienced the Android player being the highest drain on your battery, even over night when not in use? My battery doesn't last 15 hours now with very light use.

My Z30 is ok with the battery under normal use. It's only when I run an android app or game that it rapidly drains.
I can live with that.

It's possible an app (maybe with a background task) is causing this, what do your Battery and CPU screens in Device Monitor look like when this happens?
This. The Android apps don't really close and run in the background. This drove me crazy for a long time because my battery wasn't even lasting half a day. Download Ghost Commander from BBW. Go to the Android app folder, long press an app, select Manage, and select force close. I got so sick of doing this everyday that I stopped using all Android apps.

Force close is the only workaround I know for closing the apps completely. Still some apps like google play store and skype runs in backgroud even if after force closing them as they start running automatically. Some apps use very less battery and cpu if not forced close, but yea, I am pretty tired of this workaround too.

Closing Android apps from Device Monitor seems to keep them closed until you relaunch them.
In my experience, they didn't show up there--only ports. The Android apps get lumped into System.

Yeah I think if an Android app has a "run in background" permission its usage ends up in System. I believe closing from Device Monitor should stop those background processes as well until you restart the app (I didn't see any when monitoring through Task Killer). I think this might be how "force stop" works on actual Android devices. This aspect of the runtime isn't documented too well so it's not the easiest topic to discuss or find solutions to.
Thanks for all the helpful advice!!
