Have you used the Android player on BB10 (i.e. on the Dev Alpha) or are you referring to the Android player on the PlayBook? I find the Android app player UI to be pretty good actually on beta BB10 on the dev alpha right now. RIM's definitely thinking about moving up to support ICS/JB (based on tweets i've seen from folks at RIM), but it definitely won't be there for launch (API's frozen now).
