    Man I thought the BB10 helped with writing skills.

    Anyways, no, there are no plans to upgrade to KitKat anytime soon

    I personally do not see the new android update being detrimental to us, as BB10 users. There are still a plethora of applications that run on Gingerbread (2.3.x) that are being updated and managed, so we will be able to survive the wait for Kit Kat on BB10, if the day ever comes, which I think it will.

    Kit Kat uses the Dalvik run time just as BB10 does; the ART runtime within Kit Kat is experimental at this point, thus Kit Kat is still using Dalvik as the primary run time. There is a great article on it at Android Police.
