The title pretty much sums it up. With 5.2 even the stock android skin(which I consider not very customisable) has a dark theme setting for all android menus.
Why have we still not received a dark hub setting yet?! It defies all common sense- I can have a dark theme for BBM, calendar, text messages but NOT for the one screen that I spend the most amount of time on? And it's not like it's a major overhaul, they just have to invert colours!

You're not alone OP, I myself can't still understand why we don't have this feature yet. Even at the lowest brightness, it hurts my eyes to use the hub at night before sleep.

I agree we should have dark Hub. Weird that we don't.

But hurts your eyes? I would see an ophthalmologist, because clearly something is wrong with your eyes.

Wouldn't say he/she was a problem with their eyes, if you're in a dark room and are using something which glares your eyes won't be able to adjust properly, another light in the background sorts it out

With the move back to lcd screens, it seems this feature may never come.

Maybe they will charge us $0.99 for dark hub, just like BBM stickers.

On lowest setting? If that hurts, there is a problem. Or the poster was employing hyperbole.

Sorry, should have said it just bothers me a lot to the point I don't use it for how long I would have wanted.
By comparison, I have an iphone 5 that can go considerably lower in terms of screen brightness when compared to the Z30 which is weird considering that it sports a LCD display and the Z an Amoled.

Agree, would love to see "dark" everything. Bit annoying seeing some screens black and then others white.

Even for the sake of consistency, we need a dark themed hub (and Settings menu for LCD phones). Dark themed Settings already exists for LED screens so just give it to us!

It is problem with amoled not brightness. Even note 3 lowest brightness, plus root dim hurt my eyes. Passport no problem, z30 or q10 give me problems.

Also lcd can save up to 10% battery with dark theme, just with amoled it is 2 3 x more

AMOLED screens show manufacturing defects much more on low brightness, lower you go the worst your screen looks

I want my Z30 to have an all-light theme. I'd like to finally completely get rid of any and all traces of the dark theme for good.

Right now, some BB10 apps on the Z30 are dark-only (like Settings). It want to be able to choose the light theme like my old Z10 has.

The Z30's battery life could easily handle it.

Trust me, the z30's battery would be empty quicker than a beer and an irishman, AMOLED's take a lot of power up

It's a BlackBerry." Black" Berry. Say what you want about "LCD...never gonna happen." Tell that to BBM, Txt, Cal, contact and so on. I love my Passport. And a light HUB won't deter me. but if I could have a dark global interface, I would.

    Agree with OP.
Just seems like the HUB "clashes" with the rest of the OS and settings screens that are dark on the Q10.
