I've noticed that in the most recent leaked update, when installing android apps through an app store, they do not uninstall properly.

I hold down on them, then delete as one would when normally uninstalling an app. They disappear, but the app stores still see them as installed. For example, I have uninstalled GoodReads, however 1mobile sees it as installed.

I tried rebooting the device and deleting the cache for the app stores to no avail.

Has anyone encountered this issue, and if so, did you find a fix?

Have you tried deleting them in the device monitor? Otherwise try and use the PlayBook/BB10 extension on Chrome on pc

    Delete them from:
    - the appstores themselves
    - file manager>misc folder
    - device manager

There seems to be a lot of debate about this.

Personally I avoid deleting folders because it often prevents a proper uninstaller from doing its job. (ie folders often contain instructions for the uninstaller about where the rest of the components of the app are located, so it knows what to delete)

    The tactics I know of:

    1. Like regular BB10 app: hold down on icon, select "trashcan" icon
    2. Removing in the add-on app store or APK utility you used to install them
    3. Using the new Device Monitor feature in 10.2 (Settings/App Manager/Device Monitor/Storage tab/press desired app then select "Delete")
    4. Using the Android settings app to Uninstall in the native "Apps" section, like a standard Android device

Of the above choices, the one that feels most "correct" to me is option #4.

Anyone care to offer a contrary opinion?

I know for a fact that some Android apps are sloppy in how they get installed, I still have "junk" folders remaining from Android apps that created folders off the root, which didn't get deleted when they were removed.

This is Dev territory: I see a spot for a dedicated Dev to develop an android cleaner/uninstaller for BB.
