I've discovered via Ghost Commander / Solid Explorer / ES File Explorer that some android apps that I have deleted from my device are not actually deleted. I can find the app and execute them using Ghost Commander.

Problem is when I try to delete those apps using GC/SE/ESE, the actual app crashes the moment I try to uninstall it.

Other than a device wipe, any suggestions?

It's a known issue on .2876. Either roll back to .2813 or install two bars from .2813.

If one downs to android 2813 does it fix the backlog of deletions or does one need to reinstall & redelete ?

Do any of the cleaning apps fix this?

Oh yeah: is BlackBerry a bigger fatter id**t than Rush Limbaugh ??

With the 2813 android runtime files, you will be able to uninstall the apps through Ghost Commander without the uninstaller crashing out taking the runtime with it. You won't need to reinstall and uninstall, because the installer will think the app is still there anyway.

OK ...I downloaded the 2813 android files (2) & put them on with sachesi ...so my device shows Release 2836 OS 2876 ... when I check for updates either in device or in link it wants to download & install an update ...so what next with this mess...? Cobalt App Store successfully uninstalled what I wanted to remove now with these 2 sachesi downgrades put on ...does BB intend to do anything about this? Are they under a rock, or what? Does anyone here have the ability to get through to them to tell them to fix this, or are they purposely crippling the android feature in a not so subtle attempt to sell a few dozen more priv devices ?? sheesh !!

Patapoof, if this was an actual OTA carrier push, contact your provider and see if they plan on issuing any sort of fix for the issues your are having.

Nope... it's an OG passport & this is the first time I have never shut off the auto-update & put on any autoloader in the year+ I have the device... I am even further disappointed with BlackBerry & will never deal with the cellular provider, that being why I paid full price,

Your probably best to just autoload if you are planning to NOT use android apps. This This what I did with mine.

Shutting it off won't help you with the nag screen though. You will probably be asked every so often to update.

I also get a nag screen every so often on my DESKTOP. And I guess we will have to wait until 10.3.3.xxxx for this fix. Don't see a fix happening until then unless you want to re-load to 2813. For now I am tolerating it and I have been able to control my annoyance somewhat. YMMV.
