I am running an android email application that scrapes Microsoft outlook web access owa and I noticed that since I updated to the BBOS lastest release OTA that I no longer get email notifications and that the application isn't running when its closed. It used to be able to run/scrape when closed before. Is there something new that needs to be done to allow android applications to operate when closed? (Not minimized)

is there a way to allow android applications to run when closed? when i go into the memory device monitor i can see the application isn't running when closed.

Any idea how I can debug this or resolve the problem.

    The application is called mobimail

Perhaps try uninstalling the app, doing a hard restart of the phone, then reinstalling the app.

Might have to check the settings inside the android runtime and the app. Maybe also look at development mode settings in android.
