It has happened for the first time but today the Amazon shopping app just suddenly knocked off battery and 37MB of my data without me even opening the app. I am really tired of Android apps messing my phone.

Then remove them or stop them from running until needed.

Unfortunately amazon apps can't be deleted. I already had the option 'rub when minimised' switched off

    But they can be disabled.

First turn them off in parental controls, exit parental controls then go back in and re-enble them. It will download the apps and ask for permissions just like if you had first installed the OS. Deny the permissions, make a new folder called junk and stick them in it.
No more pesky data loss because of Amazon or APP store.
