As i worked for BlackBerry in 2013 i exactly know how this process works (im also developer but not for OS's). This is hmm.... exception and major issue that BB push this kind of update untested. Personally i've lost 18hrs (downloads, testing, upgrading, downgrading...etc) i can only imagine the proportion of this issue in Corporations and business users.

I think something like this - a mandatory/official update causing cell-phones to be functionally unusable - is unprecedented.

Speaking for myself, I was without a working phone (texts/voice) for the better part of my Thursday workday, and wasted many hours trying to figure out and fix it.

Has BlackBerry acknowledged or addressed this yet?

Bug list... this is more like Armageddon for us.

BBM read/unread status, rotation, etc... those are the bugs this is brick, rock, shingle..

We love BB, its classy, chassy, flat, bold, RELIABLE... is it?!

Our issue (stuck in SOS mode, and not charging) are fatal flaws.

My solution: use a more powerful charger. I have a z10 and it's original charger was not good enough with it's 750 mAh charger. I tried my wife's charger with 850mAh. Works like a charm. Good luck everyone!

I have the same problem here, my phone is a unlocked z10 Roger version. No signal, no charge, and the camera temperature sensor issue. No luck with 10.3.1 (leaked/official) but work fine on 10.3.0.1052 without Blend working.
I guest that we are all on unlocked Roger version?

Yes, it looks as if the current builds of 10.3.1 in circulation will not work on certain phones.

Until a verified fix is released, we'll have to muddle along with something <10.3.1...

Guess what.. my wife just updated her Q10 from official 10.2.1 to 10.3.1 last night and have this issue where it won't charge and mobile won't connect until the battery is drained and the device got totally hot.. she doesn't have any android app, just some social network app like facebook, twitter and whatsapp.. been using over a year without a problem with 10.2.1.. now her Q10 won't even start.. already tried battery pull.. new battery.. no red led when connected to PC or charger.. PC won't recognize the Q10.. her Q10 just DEAD.. the Q10 is out of warranty already.. so congratulation blackberry for killing my wife Q10 with the update.. i'm totally sad with blackberry.. she been loving her Q10 because it was a birthday present from me.. but now.. i don't know what to say anymore..

Sad news. It must be the SQN100-1.

I recommend you use the 10.2.1 autoloader (see earlier in this thread for links and instructions).

In your case, remove the battery and leave it out, then connect the phone to your PC via USB to downgrade back to 10.2.1.

Be warned, you will lose all the data on the phone when you use an autoloader - but at least the phone will work again.
