I was about to give three thumbs up for that article, but dang if bing and yahoo don't come back from deletion after you reboot the phone... ugh!

    Edited for PC,
Works fine if you can follow directions, I did what article said, and rebooted my phone and the added search engines are still there so it's difficult to say what you did wrong, good luck with that.

Jeese Louise! Do reboot, why would you reboot after that simple operation! or hey, if you do this and don't reboot you can change/add search engine, what a whiner! Why do you exist?
I exist because my parents had sex...? I thought they taught that in high school.

I brought that point up because when I would change default search engines, any time I rebooted my phone it would always go back to bing. I read the above link and thought I could get rid of bing for good, but it always comes back. Oh well, BlackBerry browser is garbage anyway. I'll just stick with Browsie until BlackBerry makes their own product with a penny.

Changing the home page is different from typing a quick search in the address bar at the bottom of the browser. That query always goes to the default search engine.

Too funny. On my Classic it always defaulted back to bing when the phone was restarted. Maybe verizon had something to do with that. Definitely stays on Google with the Passport. Good to know!

P.S. I already knew how to set default. It just wouldn't stay that way on my last phone.
