I am having issues with the Contacts app in BB10 and am trying to figure out the best way to manage this.

I have a gmail account (personal) and a Exchange Activesync through BES10 account (work).

When I create a new contact, it automatically "links" it to my gmail and local account...but not BES10. How can I add a contact and specify I want the contact created in my work exchange so it shows up in Outlook at work and not in my home gmail.

    Thanks

In your "New Contact" screen do you have a drop down box at the top or somewhere else on the screen where you can choose your Exchange account? That is the way it worked on legacy BES connected devices.

Nope...that was the old legacy devices...which did it right...BB10 is different with no way to specify the account that I have found.

Looks like you may need to select your account first then choose to add a new contact.

It seems, you've BlackBerry Balance up and running. Please take a look at this thread:

On the New Contact screen, just below the Title Bar, below the Cancel / Save buttons, I have 2 buttons that allow me to choose Personal or Work, choosing Work saves my contact to my Exchange Contacts.

I haven't yet figured out if I can move my previously created Personal contacts to Work since I only recently noticed the Personal/Work options.

    Hope this helps.

Moving contacts to another account is not possible in 10.2.0.x. However, this feature is rumoured to be included in 10.2.1.x.
