The article is a bit vague, but I was wondering if:

(1) Blackberry OS 10 phones are vulnerable (the presumption is that all Androids, iPhones, and Windows phones are)...

(2)...and if they are, which was the last GSM BBOS phone without accelerometers or touch screens?

There are suggesting that the noise in the accelerometer data is unique enough to a device to identify it as reliably as if you allow browser tracking cookies. In order to do this, the browser would have to support collection of orientation data, which could then be sent back to the web site and used to determine if a particular device visited before, and what it did during those visits.

Presently this is highly hypothetical, but something browser builders will need to factor in to private browsing modes.

Since users have started blocking tracking cookies, advertisers have been looking for ways to replace them. A technique already in use, and therefore far more important to users is header analysis. Using this, advertising sites are already able to track users effectively.
