For me it's good integration with Google's services. What is already on the playbook is a good start but I would be happy to have tasks, starred locations in maps, etc.

I think this is true for a lot of people now. We have signed up and rely on a lot of cloud services like kindle or Spotify that seems ubiquitous since they're on every platform. If they're not on bb10 at launch it will just seem to be lacking.

I think my decision to upgrade to a BB10 handset is pretty much sealed, but I will say once BB10 comes to my PlayBook..I would expect some big name apps to be there like Skype and Hulu/Netflix..I don't need my phone battery being eaten by those apps and I definitely think staring at a 7 inch screen will keep my eye doctor at bay.

Maps could be a bit of a deal killer. On the PB, Bing Maps actually works as I need it too, but I read in one of the posts that RIM would be using a different map provider for BB10. That might mean no transit directions.

Lack of a call blocking app (but ****, I'd like that just built into the OS) would also be a deal killer.

I'm not too worried about third party apps - I don't think any of them are make or break for me. As a user in the UK it is the native apps or lack of that concerns me. If I am to switch to BB10 it will need to have the apps that are currently already available in the US; so I want to see some kind of integrated sat nav/mapping: BB Maps and BB Traffic rolled into one (we can't get BB Traffic in the UK). A decent video/music/media store that works seemlessly on the device (it really bugs me that I can't download videos to my PlayBook through a native on device store) and I would like to see UK based media providers supported: iPlayer, SkyGo and The Times apps for example. I am a bit concerned that Thorsten Heins has already said that they are looking at local market apps/content. This statement could be a good thing if RIM ensure good local content but if it is implemented like it is at the moment it just means regions outside of the US/Can don't get the same apps!

Never see this one mentioned much but I have only one MUST have app:

Datavault by Ascendo. (it is an encrypted wallet)

I asked the company if they plan on releasing a BB10 version and have no reply so far

I am in IT and have used it for years to keep complex passwords safe and handy. I use this app many times every day on every BB since the Pearl up to my 9900 now. If it is not available, I will look for alternatives but this one is my preference.

Would you consider these other password management applications? They're the most popular cross platform apps.

    LastPass KeePass 1Password

I'm sure at least one of them will develop for bb10 and you'll be able to import your data. I'm using keepass myself because I like open source and I'm managing over 100 accounts and passwords.
