    From someone's advice on forums I deleted WhatsApp and turned off Facebook location services from permissions in settings.

    Battery life trippled.

    Yesterday I would be charging my phone by now. Now? 75%. Insane.

    I hope this helps somebody else. I was going nuts over this issue.

    I don't think WhatsApp is a big battery drainer but I'm glad it helped you (:

    I just shut my fb location off and see how that goes..

    11 hours into the day now and 60% battery left

    I should mention that I'm using Q10 and thus a bigger battery but it's the same OS as the Z.

    It 100% helped me

    Any app that keeps the GPS on all the time will drain the battery. If I don't use any navigation apps, I get 2 full days on one charge.

    Won't delete whatsapp til bbm goes X. But until then I'll turn off Facebook location and respond in a few days.

    My gf thinks I love my Z10 more than her... she's on to me.

    FB location services, sure. But WhatsApp?

    Speaking of, is FB draining my battery if it's not open? I mean the little "drop pin" GPS icon isn't on on my homescreen...

    I just changed permissions for FB and others that wanted location stuff. Not sure what was going on with that, but hoping it helps. My battery has been horrible the last 2 days

    Disabled location permissions on Facebook an WhatsApp and still getting the same drain in stand by mode, which is 10% per 7 hours. So, no use.

    10% per 7 hours? So your battery lasts for 70 hours or I'm getting my math wrong here...

    After each 7 hours you lose 10% of the remaining life is even worse so yeah that figure is wonky.

    One more reason that I don't use (and never will use) FaceBook!!

    Apparently this is why I've never had issues with my battery draining fast.

    The native Twitter app. (which is crap, but I digress...) used to drain my battery in a matter of 2 hours. It doesn't anymore. No idea why.

    If it lost 10% of the remaining life every 7 hours, that would make it better not worse, so it would be more than 70 hours in that case.
