    hey guys
has anyone tried a 128GB sd card inside a BB10 device yet?
or is 64GB the biggest one it supports yet?

64GB is the only officially support volume but it wouldn't be the first time something was supported unofficially. However, I've not tried it.

Technically, FAT32 isn't supposed to be for anything over 32GiB. Right now the bb10 phones format a 64GiB card also FAT32. 128 might work, but you're really stretching the limits of FAT.

If you give it an exFAT formatted card it'll use it OK.
On the other hand: I can't even find a 128gb micro sdxc card for sale in Canada or I would have tried it in a heartbeat!

I thought exFAT was not included in the update? Is it there?

I read an article last week that said exFAT is now supported, which goes from 64GB up to 2TB theoretically. Believe it was BerryReview.

UPDATE: Here we go: exFAT MicroSD Card Support Added in BlackBerry OS 10.2.1 - BerryReview

Think when 128Gb cards become available some will be advertised as FAT32 compatible. Fat32 is still OK for a while yet.
That said what stops a BlackBerry 10 phone from not being exFat compatible? We may get an update?

Oh you say its already there? Maybe someone will confirm.

Technical: The card will work if BB10 supports exFAT. If the card comes to you defaulted in a FAT32 format, you'll have to reformat it to exFAT before using it.
FAT32 is a Windows format introduced in 1990s.

NTFS is the default format for cards 32GB or higher, if you format directly on the device. When 128GB cards hit the market, and if exFat hasn't been fully implemented, NTFS will work just fine.

Just tested, neither NTFS, NFS or exFAT work. So stick with FAT32.

What did you just test? What device are you testing on? What OS is your device using? Can you post images supporting what you just tested?

NTFS is not supported by bb10. SD cards are always pre-formatted as FAT32 or, in the case I'd SDXC, exFAT. My phone, running the 10.2.1 official, can't access my SDXC, I had to format it on the device, which changed it to FAT32. It's confirmed that FAT32 works on a 64GB card, but I don't have a 12 8GB card to try. Does anyone else?

I received my SanDisk Ultra microSDXC 128G card today, I took it out of the package, turned my phone (Z10) off switched cards, and the phone could see the card, but said there was an issue with it. I looked at my 64G card and saw it was formatted as FAT32, so right now I am in the process of formatting my new card as FAT32, will see what happens.

This was the first one I found, my computer formatting my card is really slow it is 54% through formatting, I sure hope it works, as that would be most awesome. I have seen lots of posts that 10.2.1 is supposed to support exFAT, but I guess that is a no go as it doesnt work here

Wrong. They can all be used with 256 or more. They all support exfat and use the same hardware.

As long as you have 10.3.1 and above, you're fine on any device.
