I want to load the newest 10.3 leak on my BB Z10. Do we still need to install the Google play store and Google settings just like 10.2.1? If so, would anyone that is running 10.3.0.1154 have the working apk files to download? Thanks!

I couldn't get the google services version to work on 10.3, that worked on 10.2 - 10.2.2 for me. Therefore some of the Android apps that worked on OS versions prior to 10.3 don't work now.

KJA123, BlackBerry does not now and never did have any agreement with Google Play Services. The apps you may be referring to were changed by Google Play. It is not a malfunction of BlackBerry in any way.

You will have to patch them in 10.3 just as we did on 10.2.1. Sorry. It's just a bonus that we can run android apps on our bb10 devices. If you really don't want to deal with a few work arounds to run unsupported android apps then I suggest switching to a real android device.

The apps that I use that require play services work fine, the amount of work required is minimal to get most of them working.

You could run certain versions of google play services on your bb10 device together with the google play store app (it didn't work without). That doesn't mean that you could fully use it. But the google play services app run just fine (with limited options). Now I am not able to start the app without an error message.

You could always try to load an older version of the apk that previously worked for you. That's what many needed to do with Instagram for example

I patched the latest version of Mobility Map, using Lucky Patcher, and it works without a hitch. So if you are willing to patch, it works. See screenshot

You don't get google services to work, you can just run certain versions of the google play services app without an error. Try to find the google play services version 4034536. You also need the google play store app, version 4.1.10. I could run the above mentioned google play services app without an error on 10.2.1 (but with limited functions). You have to install the play store first before you can install the google services.

Google CHANGED some settings. Some apps will NO LONGER WORK. It is Google's way to get you to buy an Android Google Phone. Sorry to have to enlighten you this way.
