If you're quoting why leave out the part that says they will continue to develop and enhance?

Well, they "officially" announced that 10.3.3 is a performance-oriented update; they haven't EOL'd the OS until they actually announce it.

...Or, someone at the earnings call drills Chen about it.

    I'll take that bet.

They announced two additions to the devices road map (not devices): Android Slider, and 10.3.3 maintenance release for existing devices.

Read the release. It's pretty clear.

"Today, BlackBerry is announcing TWO new additions to its handheld device ROADMAP. FIRST, the company will launch a flagship slider device, Priv, which will run on the Android operating system, bringing together the best of BlackBerry security and productivity with the expansive mobile application ecosystem available on the Android platform...... SECOND, the company will continue to develop and enhance the BlackBerry 10 operating system and is confirming plans to release platform updates focused on security and privacy enhancements, with version 10.3.3 scheduled to be available in March 2016."

I welcome bug fixes, the OS has been a mess since 10.3.0, I still to this day regret upgrading to 10.3, 10.2.1 was perfect, it never ever ever froze or crashed it just worked no questions asked.

I'd take fixes over new features any day at the moment.

As long as they upgrade BB10 for whatever road they take I will stay off the slider and keep my Z30. Think the priv is gonna be the phone that nobody wants cos the mixture of HW and SW will appeal to very few people
