Blackberry 10.3.3.2049 Aggregated Changelist - Changes, Fixes, and Problems.

I have collated these from many threads. I will try to update this as more information becomes available.

Changes and Improvements

• OS now has NIAP certification link
• Browser displays sites using Let's Encrypt certificates without warnings link
• Browser allows viewing sites using Let's Encrypt certificates and HTTP Strict Transport Security again (blocked in 10.3.2) link
• Browser phpBB text box lag has been improved link
• Browser now has an anti-phishing setting
• Browser now shows recently closed tabs link
• Browser shows toast notifications for completed downloads link
• Browser compatibility improvements (HTML5 test gets 2 extra points for user interaction) link
• Browser W key now opens a new tab and Q opens the tab page.
• Browser paste icon no longer shows underneath address bar
• New NFC toggles in system settings
• BlackBerry Assistant updated and improved link
• BBVE has been moved to Help -> Testing your device hardware. No more icon. Can also be launched from BBW.
• Battery low indicator LED may be softer. link
• Private Browser is either less private or just added a warning - employer or service provider can monitor your browsing history link
• Video player (including Browser video player) now supports zooming in full-screen mode in video player. To zoom, use pinch gesture and then two fingers to pan around the zoomed in video. Doesn't seem to work in all video formats.

Problems

• Z10 version STL100-1 cannot be updated to 10.3.3, not supported by BlackBerry. link
• Facebook replaced with web link. Possible to go back to old version with hub integration if you follow this procedure link
• Snap does not currently work on 10.3.3 link
• Reports of Bluetooth no longer functional with some hardware (such as 2015 Mazda link) and issues with others (2015 Ford Sync) link
• Reports that many if not all Bluetooth connections must be re-paired or deleted and re-added or they won't work. Sometimes you must delete connection from device and BlackBerry more info here
• Reports that BlackBerry Link is no longer functional on 10.3.3
• Reports of issues with proximity sensor on passport
• Reports of issues with alarms not firing or vibrating after alarm stopped
• Sometimes after typing sentences and hitting enter, the word suggestions bar is blank rather than having the latest word suggestions there
• Phone call lag is still present (if you had it previously)
• Reports that supertube login not working
• Reports that phone times out when full backup is attempted (BlackBerry Link and Sachesi 2.0.3)
• Native BlackBerry LinkedIn crashes (workaround: side-load Google PlayStore version)

Possible Improvements or Placebo

• Android apps seem to run faster
• OS runs faster/smoother (performance improvements?)
• Radio reception is improved

Other

• Impossible to go back to 10.3.2, this is a one-way upgrade!
• FM Radio still works on Z30
• T-Mobile Wi-Fi Calling works
• Android Runtime allows uninstalling apps
• Cobalt's Google Play store tweak works
• No dark hub
• No Lithuanian

I noticed that most video I downloaded via native browser doesn't work.
I've tried savefrom.net to download a youtube video in native browser, it downloaded but rendered unreadable.
I copied and pasted the same link and used Browsie browser to download, it works flawlessly.

Any idea? I prefer using native over Browsie browser due to the download indication.
There's none in Browsie, it just shows up in file manager when it was completed. Just a surprised complete file. Lol

Yes, it does work. That should have been at the top of the Changes and Improvements list IMHO.
You might need the applet to toggle it on/off; just search the forums for it.

Not to say this is not true, however in my experience sometimes updating an OS makes the phone faster anyway, a lot of the older files are probably replaced with newer, more optimized ones for the current OS.

I wonder if this update will make Miracasting to my LG TV work again. For some reason that stopped working a while ago for my BB10 devices. Seems like something that could be small enough not to get a clear announcement.

I dont remember it was earlier: when I started Browser and hit the three dots I found a menu item: "Open: My browser" and it opens a new browser with a blue colored address bar. It has a menu (over the three dots) too: "Open: Browser" What is it?

Link still works for me on Win 10. There are some that reported issues with Link, but it's not widespread. Many others have no problems with it after updating to 10.3.3.

It's still not working on my classic. Anyone with a Classic got T-Mobile WiFi calling to work?

I have an unlocked Z30 on the T-Mobile network and the WiFi calling now works with this update.
