The problem with 'shift+entry' to next line in instant messaging is still here. It worked perfectly on 10.2 but is present since early 10.3.1 builds. I use a lot text messages, and that's a big issue for me.

I was still having issues with .2339 not finding my home wifi and disabling the network profile. So, I did a full backup, did a factory reload in Link. Link hung up about halfway through the reload. Had to restart Link which then asked for my device to be restarted. I knew it was going to be iffy, and sure enough on restart the dreaded bb10-0016 error message. What a PITA. Couldn't get my Z30 to connect to USB at all. Just kept displaying bb10-0016 error, auto-restart, display bb10-0016, auto-restart, display bb10-0016, and on and on and on.... So, no joy in trying to reload the OS with Link. Downloaded the .2339 autoloader from the links in the forum here (yay!!!), started the autoloader and when the bootrom message appeared in the cmd window, I held the Z30 power button for 10 secs to restart the handset.

Initially, the bootrom portion of the update ran in the autoloader, but the OS installed kept crashing (3 times) at about 7% into the update and the autoloader crashed and closed. After 3 restarts the OS finally uploaded completely and the Z30 restarted. I did the setup and then restarted 3 more times to settle everything in. Then I did a restore from my backup and restarted several more times. Reconfigured all my apps and accounts, downloaded my updates from BB World, then restarted 2 more times. All seems well now, and I'm anxious to see if it holds the wifi connection through the night or continues to drop it.

My BlackBerry Q5 has all the apps that can be uninstalled already uninstalled, all my files (pictures, music, videos, and documents) deleted, removed my e-mail accounts, and basically made my phone as empty as possible BUT I'm still told I need more space. What am I supposed to do now?! Haha :I

This is well known. You need to either update through BlackBerry Link or use an Autoloader. 8GB seems to be not enough.

SMH. The bu115hit continues with the wireless issue in this OS. I'm currently sitting 15 feet away from my wireless A/P and my pukeberry says the network is unavailable. I have 8 other devices connected to and actively working over the wireless network. Total BS BBRY. Fix it!

UPDATED: So I deleted the wireless profile and re-created it. The handset connected. So apparently the new technology/programming paradigm at BBRY is to have users manually delete and re-create wireless profiles every time BB drops them and refuses to connect. That's a great competitive advantage! SMH.

Hi, Conite. Yeah, just really frustrating to have this WiFi anomaly when the rest of the OS seems to be fine. Was really hoping a clean install would do the trick, but no joy. Bummer. 😥

I wouldn't say that. Many bug fixes are from fixing something technical that coincidentally fixed a another issue, but because the technical fix was over the heads of the consumer, no point in including it. I might have 22 actual code changes since last firmware release with 6 extremely simple noticeable changes in the release notes.

It may also be QA missed testing certain fixes and did not include them in the confirmed solved list that goes to public release notes.

Generally, you just have to go into the profile and re-enable it.

It's pretty basic. BlackBerry attempted to connect, failed above a limit and determined the AP as not being a good AP and blacklisted it so as not to waste battery trying over and over. This can happen from being on the edge of signal reception and lots of missed packets, or from poor protocol support in AP (so many AP's/drivers have sleep related bugs). Try and upgrade your AP's firmware. It's not ALWAYS the AP's fault, but it really, really is most of the time.

If it happens again, try and save the wireless diagnostics log so you have some idea of what happened.

It sounds like BlackBerry needs to say to connect it to PC/Link in that same message about not having enough space. Then people would go, "oh, well I'll do that tonight after I back it up for the night".

Perhaps BlackBerry is overestimating how many people do daily backups to their PC with Link and leave phone plugged in overnight while sleeping. Probably wouldn't hurt to encourage backups before the upgrade or suggest backup/upgrade using Link rather than OTA.

Videos and pictures sent via Bluetooth don't show in pictures and videos apps. Battery life is horrendous, from 100% to <10% in 8hrs on standby w/ power saving mode on! I'm lucky to get 4hrs of normal usage with power saving mode on. Loses network signal even with the status showing that im still connected to the mobile network with ~90% signal strength.

Nah. Been through all the basic stuff. It never connects, no matter how close I am, no matter how many times I re-enable the profile. AP is up to date and works fine.

For ha-ha's I reinstalled the leaked .2252 Core, Radio, and Debrick and it works fine now. The handset slept all night (well, nearly. I woke it up at 3:30 am when I got up to watch The Open live from Scotland!) The wifi immediately reconnected when I woke the phone up. No issues. There is definitely something wrong with wifi profile or parameter caching in .2339.
