I have, in Harrods and also in the windows 8.1 news application so advertising does exist however it is not mainstream on TV and things like you would expect from a new high end product release

One mainstream newspaper (I forget which) featured the passport on their front page the day after its launch. What they did was made the page like a passport and all the front page content was displayed inside the passports 'screen'
I don't think they would of done that just because - I would of said that was BlackBerry's marketing.....
Also up till recently, BlackBerry has had an in-house marketing team that did hardly anything really. Now however they are outsourcing it I believe, and this team is getting the feel of BlackBerry products and upping the marketing.

Nothing here in Canada, home of BlackBerry. Classic is out, people don't know what is it.

Why is anyone surprised by this? Did you honestly think that BB would release the OS by the end of this year? Whenever they release an OS everyone should automatically have it in their brain that it will be at least another 2-3 months before its actually released.
Its not like it matters anyway, as soon as its released their will be problems and they will be saying that the NEXT release will be the one to blow our minds. Rinse, repeat.
The walls in your bedroom painted black?

Chen has publically said that OS 10.3 for Z10 and Z30 won't be available until February 2015.
Posted using my BlackBerry Z30.
Lol, just being real when it comes to BB and the typical patterns they continue to have.
Hmm so why am I using 10.3.1.1154 on my Z10 with no problems apart from self induced ones? Strange huh? Really weird.
Posted via CB10 Z10 on 10.3.1.1154
Well your first problem is that you are using a Z10 (i'm kidding mostly, but battery life oh boy). And by problems I mean that there will be issues with the Android Runtime or Flash being removed or something along those lines and BB will step in and say "We are saving the best for 10.4 and we will have these issues resolved" and people in here will immediately start making excuses for why 10.4, which will be a year away, will be THE OS to make all other OS's obsolete, just like it was said with 10.0, 10.1, 10.2. Its a regular cycle.
Consumers don't know, corporations probably are on their mailing list.

I'm running the latest 10.3.1.1154 leak and it works perfectly on both my passport and z30. Never had issues or flashes.

Same here except with a low volume of ringing tone and alarm complaints.
It's More Fun using Q10 - 10.3.1.1154
Anyone using that expression is seriously lacking in class. Hard to believe grown men talk like this.

Oh really? So you are an expert on software development?

Nothing beats BlackBerry and it's support and updates. Especially for older devices. BlackBerry has class. Unlike the majority of Android Manufacturers that lack supporting there devices with continued updates.

Verizon Z10 on Golan Telecom....?
I tried doing the Blitz install via Sachesi on my Z30, and had major problems… The lock screen was a bit weird, and Android apps showed a green loading line that hung at about 75%… Several others have noted this Android issue with .1154 as well. Got it working better with a clean install, but it was still a bit buggy… I was really hoping I'd be in the majority of those on the leak experiencing no problems at all, but it seems its not 100% ready yet...
BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 - As most folks should know by now, the first batch of BlackBerry 10 devices such as the BlackBerry Z10, Q10, Z30, Z3 and Q5 haven't received any iteration of BlackBerry 10.3/ 10.3.1 as of yet. The plan for those devices was always to move them directly into 10.3.1, and that's still going to happen. As we learned during the BlackBerry Classic launch Q&A session, that will start happening in February. Now, even though that's an official timeframe from Ron Louks, President, Devices and Emerging Solutions at BlackBerry, it's still subject to all the usual caveats such as carrier approval and roll out. 'February' is a starting point not an exact date and that's important to remember because it likely doesn't mean come February 1st, everyone is going to have 10.3.1..

Right? It's ridiculous. Not like anyone owes us a seriously delayed once promised book or something, but it's become untenable how there's nothing on the search engines and no word on Passport or Classic's availability on Verizon Wireless either. Damn shame.
You do know that Verizon is selling the Classic from their website now, right?
