Riight, but that does not really tell what I want to know. PT_BR has been supported as a OS language since BBOS External Keyboard support is a 10.3.1 feature and PT_BR is not one of the included languages, yet, PT_BR is in the OS.

Just a bit wondering why there is "No Information Available " on Software Release? Shouldn't SW release be 10.3.2.89 for OS 179 and Radio 180 combo?

IMO everything made by BlackBerry should be pre loaded, like BlackBerry travel, BlackBerry virtual expert, password keeper, print to go, everything.

Gives more exposure, higher chance of people using it, higher chance of more people using them, customers might end up living them which is good and better for BlackBerry, if customers like them then it gives BlackBerry a better name and makes the app situation on BlackBerry look better.

There is so much for them to fix first and just hoping it is indeed done in 10.3.2.

I would request @Bla1ze to do a detailed blog on what needs to be fixed and new features in current apps. Also do a polling for this. And just hope BlackBerry reads it and takes it seriously then.

For me it is like below,

OS UI beautification and alignment: more colorful & and fluid. Maybe something like apple UI transitions, they are quite smooth and Butter. Themes, live wallpapers etc would be Great. Undo button across the OS is also good.

Hub: takes a lot of time to load and open notifications. Need offline hub, more options and color along with better cache management to load and open things faster.

Keyboard: It has become quite heavy and predictions are now not so good. Improve these 2 things and more color options. Emoji support for complete OS

Android Runtime: bring it to par with Android development so that apps also run better. There is a 2 second delay in opening android app and also not so fluid. Need to do something for apps dependent on google maps.

Headless notifications and Hub Integration: it is quite difficult to implement. Also it breaks easily. Fix this asap.

Email: more edit options for email writing and signature. Also better contact management here. Can't mark a mail as junk as of now. Also complete color distinction between 2 accounts is required.

BBM: bring groups functionality at least at par with competition. Improve voice and video. Also needs to be a little lite in size and use. It doesn't load so fast especially from hub.

Blend: update for more options

Active Frames: useless as Of now. Need more action there and also different sizes like windows phone. Also better way of closing apps is required

Camera: terrible at night mode. Quite heavy app now. Loads quite slowly. Focus is always slow and lost. Release API for more features.

Maps: complete offline support. Maybe approach Nokia if they agree.

Radio & Wifi: improve these two asap. They are quite bad.

UI standards: keep things same for access settings for an app and more options. It's cluttered as of now.

BlackBerry Assistant: voice activated and more like cortana for getting productive. Better be on time

Battery Saving Mode: more options should be included. Also improve it. It's not so good

BBW: clean up first for all junk apps and bring more. Update notifications are broken mostly.

Calendar App: UI is terrible Now.

BBM meetings: update for performance

Photos & Videos App: UI needs completely new stuff and indexing is quite poor. Editing app needs more stuff. Also it needs to be opened for developers.

Indexing & list view handle issues: Indexing overall is poor and list view isn't that great. Scrolling is slow.

Phone app: Completely change UI and make it Lite. Open for devs. Truecaller is ready to make but can't due to limitations.

Contact App: mess. Duplicates and slow. It needs to be like people app in windows. Apps should be easily integrated.

System usage: Its quite heavy. It uses processor, ram and battery so much. Idle drain is also quite a lot.

Browser: its also quite heavy app and for sure not the best. Sync features also missing.

Lock screen use: practically no use case as of now. They need to open API and also bring new uses of it. It's quite passive as of now.

Apart from this,

New apps and new features can be thought of in a phased manner. But most importantly open APIs for developers.

And please interact two way more with consumers and developers. I haven't seen BlackBerry using CB forum well enough whereas other companies are trying to build such stuff to get the feedbacks.


Not complaining but suggesting in a better way. Hope they read it.
