Ok, I did the previous trick and fully functional again. Loaded the voicemail bars from 10.2.1 rebooted, then restored from a backup I made on 10/16. I restored settings and system apps only. Upon reboot I now have to rebuild all my apps because of password resets, but VVM is back to normal. The label is "Voicemail" again, and all my messages are in the phone app and the hub. When leaving a new message it appears in both the phone app and hub. Fully functional VVM.

Glad to hear it! Thanks for letting everyone know how you got it working. Big help!

    Just a FYI,
    I tried 10.3.1.938 for a while. My results -

I encountered many of the same bugs that others saw - after a Non-Destructive load, and again after an Autoloader install.
Correct spelling by tapping on misspelled word and selecting a suggestion would often fail.
Add to dictionary would often fail.
Some settings not "sticking" after handset restart.
    RFA problems.

    Went back to 821 -

I used Link to reload official factory software, then enabled my Verizon VVM, performed a "Quick" type backup up with this minimal install. (Thank you JoBudden for this advice)
Then autoloaded 821, and used Sachesi to install 2 old Verizon VVM files. Then did a settings only restore from that previous backup and confirmed Verizon VVM working again. Then went about rebuilding everything. Now I have a fully functioning handset and I can not find anything that is not working properly as of yet. Think I'll stay here for a while. :-)

are you referring to voicemailsetup and voicemailcompose as the "old Verizon VVM files"?

I've not been able to get the 10.2.1 files to work with 10.3.1.xxxx but I did just resolve my verizon VVM issue. I tired everything that was suggested here, along with multiple variations, and what was suggested in the "1052 fix" thread to no avail.

    Here's what worked for me:
autoload 1052, side load 538 vmail bar for Verizon, set up VVM, reboot just to make sure its staying, create backup using only settings excluding runtime, blitz load 800 then 538 bar then reboot, perform restore from 1052 backup and magic, it works again.

Fellas I have sent the log to Clewley about the text issues that have been there since 10.3 has started leaking. So they are aware of it and hopefully working to fix the issue.

I, currently using 10.3.0.1154 and just noticed the texting issue. Seems like I can send a text and it says it sent but never received by the person I texted. Is this the issue you're referring to? I also noticed that MMS either doesn't send or takes a while before it does.

Most of our issues revolve around receiving messages and not sending them. All of mine get delivered but I will have issues receiving them. IMS intermittently disconnects which caused the issue.

Not at all. Otherwise we would not be able to trick it into working by using different VZW VVM file and backed up settings. Obviously it CAN work. It appears that BlackBerry has updated it's VVM routines and it is no longer compatible with Verizon system.

I've had sms/mms issues since moving above 10.3 on my Verizon Z30. Currently, I'm on 10.3.0.1052 and I have to make sure to reboot my phone every 1-2 days or I stop receiving SMS/MMS and they do NOT come in after a restart if I have missed any. I'm looking to upgrade to one of the 10.3.1.xxx versions but I'm seeing they have their own issues there as well. I may have to bite the bullet and roll back to 10.2.1 :-(

Text input was often laggy for me in 1154 - now in 938 it seems so far snappy.

Okay, anyone want to try 1016? There are Verizon specific builds this time, so who knows. Would love to see a leak that does not require all the tricks to get VVM working.
If no one gets to it before me, I'll probably try this weekend.

I'm in the process of downloading the files, now. I'll give it a shot and post my experiences as soon as I can.

Hhmmm interesting- I'm on a Z10 100-4 on Verizon, and running 10.3.0.1418... my vvm is working and so are my texts- - Maybe its a Z30 issue ?? I loaded 1418 non-destructively using Sachesi - I loaded over 10.3.0.1152 - FYI- I look forward to your further posts.
I also loaded 1418 non-destructive with Sachesi over 1152 because I was having trouble with MMS on 1152. Regular texts were fine and still are. 1418 cured the mms issues. Now I'm jumping up to 10.3.1.1016 as soon as I get everything downloaded!

Unfortunately, the going has not been good with .1016 and Verizon VVM. Nothing I've tried has worked, and I've had to table any future attempts until someone else can provide a different approach.

Wish the news were better, my friend!

Visual voice mail works with out any problems.

    Simple steps.
    Load 10.3.0.1052.
Load the ecid538 vvm bar file provided in the thread about the issue.
    Restart the phone
    Set up visual voice mail.
    Back up using link.
Load 10.3.1.xxxx ( any os you want)
    Load the ecid538 file again
    Restore device settings/contacts/ calendar.
Phone will restart on its own.

And you will have vvm every time on any 10.3.1 os

And you can use this same back up to load any new os.

If you happen to need to restore more information. You can just make sure not to include the device settings / contacts/ calander options.

All will be good. But I'd advise not restoring the BlackBerry run time for os's in the 10.3's as it seems to mess up the way android apps run.

I had to do the VVM restore trick. VVM works like it did on earlier builds now. SMS works but I don't get delivery confirmation. I can send/receive texts.
Verizon doesn't pass on the delivery confirmation on texts for us...

Has anyone had luck with a 10.3.1 and Verizon z30? No matter which one I try it eventually ends up having texting issues. Where I do not receive them at all. Can't find a way around it so went back to 10.2 but I miss the new features so much!

If anyone has any tips or the best OS for this phone I really would appreciate it.
