    This is not accurate.

Dark theme works fine on both OSes.

Some issues might prevent it from working as a result of a non-destructive upgrade process in lieu of an autoloader. Always hard to pin down the exact voodoo as to what variables cause it.

Well, not so fast. Using Sachesi, I just loaded 800 OS and 801 radio over the top of 821/822 and now I'm able to enable dark screen in contacts and it sticks. So, it seems to be the difference for me.

Is anyone having an issue with installing bar files or updating the apps?

My Z10 is taking forever to install any apps?

    Any idea?

It is not available through any official carrier, so that won't work this time.

    Help please,

i usually just load autoloaders, but this time i need help is there a way to load this without having to download Real racing 3 data gain(i mean the 1GB download after u install the game ). please i will be veryyy grateful for any help... thank you in advance.
    Use this method

    OS 800 + Radio 801 'Blitz' Non-Destructive Update Method - Page 5 - BlackBerry Forums at CrackBerry.com

It may take 2 hours to run or longer, but it'll load non-destructively without any issues.

The difference between 800 and 821 is minor, and in fact 800 does contain newer code - not sure why 821 has reverted to older code, it could be reverted for a reason, or maybe not. So if you want easy, go with 800.

Although I have not had the chance to do anything yet (still on 10.3.1.632), I have been reading that with the 800 OS, dark theme works on that OS, while it does not "stick" on 821.

I just tried on my second Z10 and dark theme in contacts came right back after it booted up with 800/801 (it was originally on dark to begin with but wouldn't stick with 821). 821 may work fine with an autoloader.

So, I'm convinced. If using non-destructive (Sachesi) update use 800/801 instead of 821/822. 800/801 is newer anyway.

Contacts work fine in 821 OS (dark theme) as long as you load the contacts bar from 800. I loaded the 821 non destructively (core os/radio autoloader) and then the updated bars. Results may vary, however, depending upon your circumstances

    Guys,
This is non-destructive upgrade I made from 10.2.1 to 10.3.1.821. It worked and my phone STL-3 is doing well.
    1. Download the radio, debrick OS and upgrade OS files from page #1
    2. Use Sacheshi 1.9.5 to extract the debrick OS file (qc8960.factory_sfi.desktop-10.3.1.821-nto+armle-v7+signed.bar , 1.8GB). Go to Extract --> Autoloader Tools --> Extract Signed (leave User, OS, Radio checked). You will get a bigger file about 2.8GB (qcfm.image.com.qnx.qcfm.qc8960.factory_sfi.deskto p.BB10_3_1.821.784768.signed).
    3. Extract the .bar files from the 2.8GB in step 2. Extract --> Extraction Tools --> Extract Apps. You will get a folder with all the .bar files.
    4. Put the radio and the upgrade OS files into the folder containing the .bar files just extracted in step 3.
    5. Connect your phone to your PC or Mac (I'm using Mac). Turn on the developer mode on your phone. Shutdown Blackberry Link.
    6. Make sure Sacheshi is able to connect to your phone. Use the Install from folder option to install the 10.3.1 update from the folder in step 4.
    7. Wait until the update finishes. Phone will auto reboot.
Thanks for posting this good quick summary. it was very helpful to update my z10.

I had already loaded the newer bars from .800 over .821 (including the contacts bar) and it didn't work on either device. That was the first thing I tried.

I agree that you should use 10.3.1.800, but I had originally used a non-destructive method on my Z10s, and dark did not stick. I ended up using an autoloader.

As I mentioned, there are sometimes too many mystery variables involved in this that it is difficult to have any hard set rules to success.

Why bother? 800 OS has the newer code anyway. 821 just recycles the OS from 797.

Almost all leakes on 10.3 have a wifi issue on my device ,only 1154 is stable
I have tried everything ...clean installs, SIC wipes but nothing ,only 1154 works ok for my Q10....
