Does anyone know any fixes for the people that have bad battery life? I believe someone mentioned that installing a previous radio fixes this problem. Does anyone know from which os?

The two updates are not good as far as battery is concerned. The last update is probably a little worse.

Radio performance seems to vary from carrier to carrier.

Oddly enough, the .2559 Radio is slightly outperforming everything I have previously installed on my Passport.

On previous OS's nothing worked as well for me as the .2073 Radio, I had higher battery drain with .2243, ,2268 and .2481 than with .2073 which would do 0.3% per hour when on standby whereas the others would not deliver under 0.6%.

Signal strength on cellular and wifi in terms of bars was virtually identical using all radios so I have no idea why .2073 used less juice, it just did !!!

All performed similarly when the phone was in use.

After 3 days I have found that .2559 is as good as if not slightly better than .2073.

Go figure !!!

As to how to fix your issue, just play around with radio files and see which one works best for you, it's a quick sideload so no real hassle to mess around with.

That's great but you didn't give too much information for help. Device, provider, was this your first 10.3.1 OS? How did you update? Which android apps are you running. How long have you been in this update. How about a screen shot of your device monitor for the last 24 hours. These are things we need to help you.

That's great but you didn't give too much information for help. Device, provider, was this your first 10.3.1 OS? How did you update? Which android apps are you running. How long have you been in this update. How about a screen shot of your device monitor for the last 24 hours. These are things we need to help you.

Provider: Fido Canada
I've installed many different versions of 10.3.1. I've used autoloaders and blitz files
I've updated through blitz for this os
I've been running this os for the last 3 days (including today)




The non-drop in the battery life is because it was left on the charger

Try the one from the OS that gave you the best battery life in the past, but it's really trial and error, what works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another.

Like Legal Eagle mentioned before, I guess it depends on your carrier. 10.3.1.2243 is the official update i get from my carrier and the battery life was good. Now on .2558 I don't see any difference. Loaded up last Saturday on my Z10 STL 100-2

Maybe you should bite the bullet and do a clean install with an Autoloader, might be a bad install given that the majority who are running .2558 seem to be finding better battery with this OS.

Well... I'm looking at his graphs and scratching my head. He had decent system usage and screen time. And then complains about battery life. He had over 50 percent left after like 12 hours. And he's in a Z10... how are you going to complain about that... he's doing better on his 10 than I do in my 30.

Question if you don't mind, under DEVICE MONITOR, which one in the list of processes is the "radio" under? Is it under system?

I've had a similar experience as most on this thread, with an almost doubling of battery life on 2 Z30's and 2 Passports. I wonder if a wipe and autoloader would help you.

Patrick try the 1956 or 2073 battery. Moreover a new os and radio have popped up as reported by Dylan and courtesy theoneacid. Its OS 10.3.1.2576 and obviously will have a higher radio build. Am off to try it since the 2258 radio is also not working for me at all. Gives me barely 8hrs on average use. Good luck
